The extents of an area of rig cultivation in the vicinity of a ruined farmstead were mapped along the S-facing slope of Glen Scaddle by J Wordsworth during a pre-afforestation survey.

A farmstead comprising one unroofed building lying within a field is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet xix) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
