The settlement is depicted on Roy's Military Map (1747-55).

The footings of four buildings situated on a bank above a seasonal lochan and a reclaimed hayfield. They are at present covered in deep heather (see sketch in Ass. Docs.). None of the buildings are shown on the OS 1st edition map.
