Full Description
Centred ND 0790 3980. Situated on both sides of the Allts Backlass and Benalisky at their confluence, are the remains of 9 shieling bothies mostly built upon mounds. They vary in size from 6.5 x 3.5m to 9.8 x 3.5m and are generally 0.2m high over the mounds.

An unroofed shieling-hut and two enclosures are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xxxii). Nine unroofed shieling-huts are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1967).
