A crofting township comprising thirty-one roofed buildings, including a school, two unroofed buildings and their associated enclosures and field walls is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Skye 1880, sheet viii). Nineteen roofed, two partially roofed and eleven unroofed buildings and their associated enclosures and field walls are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
