West Garty Steading
This 'U'-shaped range is open to the S and encloses two later covered cattle courts. There is a stable block in the W wing, a threshing barn with waterwheel in the NW angle, and a cow byre with an external enclosed feeding passage along the rest of the N side. A hen house occupies the NE corner and there are further stables in the E wing with outward facing cart lodges. There are granaries and hay lofts at first floor level all the way round. The buildings were disused, derelict and ruinous in parts on the date of survey.
Visited by RCAHMS (GJD), July 1992; see NMRS MS 744/101.
