Full Description
Enclosures, some containing remains of rig cultivation, on the nortn side of Loch Poulary.
An enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1876, sheet xcv) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 5 June 1996. <1>
As noted, a single enclosure is shown here on the OS 1st edition map but vertical aerial photography, especially that taken in 2012, shows a number of areas of bracken outside it (as well as within it) which highlights the remains of rig cultivation. Either these enclosure are the remains of a discrete farmstead or they are dispersed pasrts of the possible farmsteda to the northeast (see MHG64643). <2>
