A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building and one enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet lxvii). One unroofed building is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 23 May 1996.
This farmstead may have been part of the wider township of Balnacarn (see MHG23079). An additional roofed building with a probably associated enclosure to the southeast located to the west is also shown on the OS 1st Edition map [IS-L 15/05/2026].
A photographic survey of the ruined, previously roofed, farmhouse was carried out as a condition of a planning application for the erection of a house in 2011. <1>
