Full Description
Floor 'surface' appears to be a weathered natural sandstone outcrop, although there are large stones visible that could be structural. Also cobblestones in adj. area, as well as modern rubbish.
This site was noticed by discovery of medieval finds, i.e.
1) A double-struck Charles Ist copper mount (1642-50) ?counterfeit.
2) Edward III coin.
3) Openwork decorated copper-alloy mount.
4) Medieval pot sherd.
Findspot - NH577 495, opposite Kilearnan Church, within which is a medieval graveslab.
