Full Description
An enclosure, formed in a bend of the River Torridon, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xciii), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 4 March 1996
A walkover survey and desk-based assessment was undertaken by J Wordsworth and J Harden at Torridon for the National Trust for Scotland in 1996-2002.
The north edge of this feature is now defined as an earthen bank c1m wide by c1m high with a ditch to the north. The bank is capped by mature beech trees, possibly the remains of a former beech hedge. The site is now in a plantation and protected by a deer fence. <1>
