Full Description

What may be a farmstead comprising one unroofed building and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, lxxxii). Two unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 1 March 1996.

A walkover survey and desk-based assessment was undertaken by J Wordsworth and J Harden at Torridon for the National Trust for Scotland in 1996-2002.

A substantial mortared building clm by c5m survives here with walls up to c2.5m high by c0.55m thick. It is aligned W-E. There has been considerable collapse/stone robbing so that details of the structure are few. There is a fireplace evident at the east end and the walls are rendered externally and plastered internally. It was clearly a two-storey structure. It sits within a large rectangular enclosure c20m wide by c70m long N/S. This is clearly a late structure, erected after 1875 and before 1902. <1>
