Full Description

A crofting township comprising thirty-seven roofed, two partially roofed and eleven unroofed buildings, their associated enclosures, some boundary walls and some lengths of head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xiiA). Seventeen roofed, two partially roofed and eighteen unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1969).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 2 February 1996

The greater part of the modern croft land is on the drained low ground along the straightened Feith Rabhain. Older areas of cultivation extend up the hill slope south of the bay, and there are field clearance piles on the rocky high ground north of the old schoolhouse. There appear to be at least four clusters of dwellings, the main one now being north of the bay, the others at the southern edge of the cultivated lands.
