Full Description
A scattered township with no apparent cohesion and many abandoned croft houses but some interesting modern conversions giving an impression of wealth alongside dereliction. The croft land is in poor condition.
Roy’s military survey records a settlement named Nanmullan on the north side of the Allt Loch a’ Choire at approximately NG 880 967, although only 19th century croft buildings were visible at this location. The placename is probably erroneously shifted from Mellon.
