Full Description

A mill, comprising a one roofed building and a lade is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xlv), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).

The 1875 OS survey named a roofed building here 'Boor Mill (corn)'. It was served by a lade. All these features appear to have been destroyed by the construction of the new bridge, though the mill site may just survive to the N of the construction area. <1>

Boor Mill. This mill is recorded on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map and is mentioned in Dixon's 'Gairloch' but it has now been completely obliterated by the construction of the new road bridge. <2>
