A farmstead comprising three roofed long buildings, one of which is L-shaped, one partially roofed building, and an enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxiv). Two of the roofed buildings and the partially roofed building are arranged around a courtyard.
