Full Description

An archaeological survey at Rothiemurchas was undertaken by Dr T C Welsh in 1993.

Shieling huts on a terrace north side of a knoll 24 x up to 15m deep. The ground is disturbed by stumps of a former plantation. A number of small huts, or embanked pits eg 5.3 x 7.3m, 3.5 x 4.7m, 5 x 3m. Also another small terrace on the west side. <1>
