Full Description
Longhouse farm (ND 1098 5561) comprising;
A: Longhouse. Dimensions: 31 x 5.25m. Rectangular structure divided into five units, the E unit containing a fireplace. Orientation ENE-WSW.
B: Longhouse. Dimensions: 11 x 5.2m. Rectangular structure built at right angles to and 2m NE of A. Its opposing doors indicated its function to be that of a winnowing barn. Orientation NNE-SSW.
C: Enclosure. Dimensions: 10 x 6m. Rectangular structure defined by grass-covered banks 0.1m high.
D: Enclosure. Dimensions: 25 x 30m. A wall runs from the W end of A to the N end of B forming an enclosure.

Two roofed buildings are depicted on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xvii) and as unroofed on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1970).
