Full Description
In open moorland is an irregular, grass- covered stony mound measuring about 15.0m in diameter and 1.0m high. It is similar to those 450m to the NW (see ND26NE 1) and its date and purpose cannot be ascertained but may be a shieling stance.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (A A) 17 March 1972.
This mound (published but un-named on OS 1:10,000 map, 1975), is as described; the vague footings of three small shielings occur on it. Visited by OS (J B) 5 May 1982.
