Longhouse (ND 1777 5570). This originally was a crofthouse 19 x 5m containing opposing fireplaces. An annexe 5m square containing a fireplace was added at the NW end. At the SW end two units were added at right angles to and attached to the structure, one unit of which was a barn associated with a horse engine, 7m diameter.

A roofed L-shaped building and an enclosure (surrounding three sides of a courtyard) are depicted on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xviii). The building is shown as unroofed on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1971).
