Full Description

Longhouse farm (ND 1466 5865).
A: Croft. Dimensions:13.5 x 5m. Orientation E-W.
B: Barn. Dimensions: 13 x 5m. Contains a mill wheel. Orientation E-W.
C: Byre. Dimensions: 10 x 5m. Built at right angles to B and separated from it by a wooden partition, containing stalls. Orientation N-S.
D: Lade. This feature runs S from mill wheel to a cistern 9.3 x 9.1m and 0.7m deep.
