Longhouse farm (ND 2310 5862), comprising;
A: Longhouse. Dimensions: 34 x 5m. Rectangular structure divided into three compartments. Orientation NW-SE.
B: Longhouse. Dimensions: 15 x 5m. Rectangular structure built at right angles to A and comprising two units. NW unit contains a wood-lined recess and cogged wheel set into the wall and machinery associated with a horse engine which lies outside. Orientation NE-SW.

A farmstead comprising two roofed buildings, one of which is a long building, one enclosure and an unroofed structure, which is attached to one of the buildings, is depicted on the 1st edition of the 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xviii). One roofed and one partially roofed building are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1994).
