Full Description

Structure. Dimensions: 7 x 4m. Rectangular structure defined by a low grassy bank and associated with a field wall running 40m NNE and 32m SSW. Orientation NNE-SSW.
Longhouse, 'Carnavagry'. Cruciform windbreak partly formed by the walls of two parallel longhouses whose original dimensions were approximately 17 x 3.8m (W structure) and 11.5 x 5m (E structure). Orientation N-S.

A farmstead comprising three unroofed buildings and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xi). Two enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).
