A township, comprising twenty-eight roofed buildings, eleven unroofed building and three enclosures, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xxix). Seven unroofed structures, fourteen roofed buildings, four partially roofed buildings and three enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1963). A broch (NC85SE 2) is situated within the boundaries of the township at NC 8918 5332.
