Full Description

NC00SE 6 centred on 065 037

A township comprising ten roofed and one partially unroofed building and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, sheet vii). Nine roofed and four unroofed buildings and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1970).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 1 December 1995

Historic Assynt surveyed this area for two small areas of proposed woodland expansion on croft land at Culnacraig and Achduart, Wester Ross. in November 2014. Although a number of pre-historic hut circles have been recorded in the vicinity of both Culnacraig and Achduart, all the sites noted within the planting areas are probably associated with crofting activity over the last two hundred years. <1>
