A farmstead comprising an L-shaped unroofed long building and an adjoining enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xli). An L-shaped unroofed building which has two compartments and the enclosure which has been sub-divided is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1962).
