Full Description
At SW base of the slopes of Torr Dubh Beag are two mounds. NE mound is 13m E-W by 12m transversely and has a maximum height of 1.7m. On the top is a rectangular foundation measuring 7m by 2.5m, formed by fairly large stones. Some 31m to the WSW is a similar mound, 11m E-W by 9m transversely and 1m high. On top is a mutilated foundation about 4m square. Twenty metres W of the larger mound is an oval hut formed by fairly large stones, measuring 3m N-S by 1.5 m transversely. These structures are probably the remains of shielings.
