What may be a farmstead comprising an unroofed long building and part of another, one end of which appears to have been removed in the construction of a field wall, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet vi). Part of an unroofed building is shown on the OS 1:10000 map (1975).
