Burnt mound: Prominent U-shaped green mound in heather, containing burnt stones, situated by a drain, near to and E of an unnamed stream on OS 1:10,000 map. Rushes in depression in centre of 'U'. Visited 1995, following information from landowner, Mr Andrew Vinen, Challenger Lodge, Lairg.
