An unroofed structure, which may be a shieling-hut, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xxv). It is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1990).
Information from RCAHMS (FO) 21 August 1995.
On the OS 1st edition map the feature is shown on the edge of the water of the loch. However, this position is now well above water and it is clear that the loch is sitgnificantly lower than it was in the past [IS-L 23/06/2025].
