What may be a township comprising three unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xvi). One of the unroofed buildings may have been incorporated into a later sheepfold.
Three unroofed buildings and an enclosure and what may be a further two enclosures is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962).
