Full Description
A flat-topped, turf-covered construction of stones situated on the edge of Loch Hollistan, now partially drained. It measures 8.5m in diameter and 1.5m high, and presents a sharp outline. The S side is revetted by large stones several courses high, and this revetment may have continued around the E and W sides. A later 'hide', one of several along the loch shore, is built into it. A surface quarry occurs immediately to the N. This construction appears to be fairly modern and is possibly a duck-shooting platform. It does not resemble a cairn or crannog. Visited by OS (NKB) 30 October 1981.
