Documented in the the OS Name Book as 2-storey house, slated and in good repair, the ground floor is used asa school and the upper floor as a dwelling house for the teacher. In addition to fees, the teacher's salary is paid and the school maintained by the Highland Educational Society, Edinburgh.
The building was listed at Category B in 1991.
