Full Description
(ND 2067 3492; ND 2071 3494) Mounds (NR) OS 6" map, (1959)
2 turf-covered cairns some 13m diameter and 1m high, very badly mutilated and robbed.
Robbing from S of cairn at ND 2071 3494 has exposed 3 upright slabs in the centre, probably remains of a chamber although in its present state plan is not evident. No uprights can be seen in cairn at ND 20673492, but its close proximity and similarity in dimensions to the other cairn make it likely that this also was chambered.
Surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (R L) 13 March 1968.
