Full Description
Former lodge to Dochfour House. It is shown on the OS 1st edition map adjacent to a bridge and gateway and was photographed for the Category C Listing project in 1975 and then again in 1983 by the Scottish Development Department. It is still shown on OS mapping published in 1986 but by the release of vertical aerial photographs in 2005 it had been demolished. Those same aerial photographs and some taken subsequently appear to show that the rear wall and the two gable ends may have been retained, if lowered somewhat, to form a 'C'-shaped grassy earthwork. <1> <2>
See linked Trove website link for the 1975 and 1983 photographs.
