Full Description
(Location cited as ND 131 519). Small turbine in house, old wheel 3ft 8ins x 12ft, 8-spoke, preserved out of original position.
Visited by Mr J R Hume, 16 May 1974 (photos H74/150/10, 11, 13, 14, 16).

East Mill, Westerdale. Roofed mill similar to Mon. 514 (see ND15SW 34), the NW part two-storey, the SE area single-storey, associated with the wheel pit.

Two cornmills are marked as roofed buildings (at ND 1293 5191 and ND 1304 5190) on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xxii) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1963).
