Full Description

Remains of a farmstead at Dalnamein, recoirded by the Tian Archaeological Group in 1995.

NH 725 989: Footings of 2 rectangular buildings in area of improved ground.
Building 1: 8.4m x 4.5m with added extension
Building 2: 10.4m x 4.5m associated with sub-rectangular enclosure.

The supplied grid reference is c.80m to the northwest of where the features are actually visible in vertical aerial photographs taken in 2020. The features are located within what appears to be a dyked extension to a farmstead to the north (see MHG189237). <1>

NOTE: This farmstead may be part of the wider Dalnamein township.
