Full Description

A drystone built structure, apparently subterranean, cut into clean, wind-blown sand. It appears to consist of a narrow curving passage at least 1m deep. Flat slabs which may have lintelled the passage lie nearby. The structure was discovered during new ploughing in 1982. The area had been under improved pasture since living memory. A few unidentifiable pot sherds, flints, bone and shell were noted from the upcast caused by part emptying of the passage by the farmer Mr Macraes's son. It has since been back filled.
