Full Description

Paul Humphreys reports that there are traces of ironworking being eroded on the beach below the castle & behind the WW2 tank traps. He says that furnace floor levels & hammer scale are visible being eroded onto the beach. He believes these finds are Norse in date. - HAW 2/2003
