A township comprising four unroofed buildings, a sheepfold, an enclosure, an area of cultivation and a head-dyke, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1879, sheet lxxxix). One roofed and nine unroofed buildings, two of which are marked as ruins, two enclosures, a sheepfold, field walls and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1963).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 16 October 1995

The OS 1st Edition map shows the two smallest buildings to have been incorporated into a rectangular sheepfold which is labelled 'Glenhouse'. The other two buiildings are shown outside the head dyke, potentially indicating an earlier origin. Vertical aerial photography shows the southern of those two buildings at NGR 293224 913009 to have been multi-roomed and with a small adjoining enclosure. There are also indications of a second rectangular building immediately to its south. The northernmost of the two external to the head dyke at NGR 293185 913364 is very vague but also appears to have been multi-roomed. There are also slight indications of possibly associated enclosures. Within the head dyke, but not necessarily contemporary, are several smaller enclosures and sites of farmsteads, with one of the latter with an associated corn drying kiln in particular at NGR 293491 912863. The remains of rig can also be seen in a nunber of places. <1> <2>
