Full Description

(NH 570 974) Inveran. Almost certainly a motte, but nothing remains beneath the present farmhouse.
Info from J E Kirby (Dahl House, Polloch, Fort William) 24 November 1978.

Inveran Farm occupies a spur bounded by steep natural slopes on N S & E, and by a depression in west, which isolates the spur from the rest of the ridge. This depression in its present form bears no relationship to a motte ditch, but it has been occupied by buildings and a track, and surface quarrying, which may have enhanced an original ditch. Otherwise no evident to support classification as a motte. Visited by OS (N K B) 13 July 1981.

See corrected GR from 1st ed OS which shows a building on circular feature, - HAW 10/2002
