(NC 6840 3841) Enclosure (NR)
OS 6"map, (1963)

An enclosure situated on a knoll 0.5m high and accompanied by a possible hut-circle and field clearance heaps which were formerly noted as 'tumuli' (ONB 1873). The enclosure is oval measuring 12m NW-SE by 9m NE-SW and consists of a course of stones, extant on the west and south and also on the NE where it turn inwards for a short distance on the east. The disturbed interior appears to contain the floors of small huts but this could not be ascertained. A possible, small hut-circle 3m in diameter, lies at a distance of 2m from the north side of the enclosure. The field clearance lies mainly to the south and covers an area of about 250m NW-SE by 100m transversely.
