Full Description
NC61SE 3 6535 1429.
At NC 6535 1429, in west side of a stream gully, is a burnt mound. It is U shaped, stands to 0.9m high and measures 8.0m across the open end by approximately 5.0m transversely, the last measurement some what uncertain s the mound merges with the slope rising at its back; erosion of the peat-cover reveals friable and reddened fragments of stone.There is a hut circle 40m to the south east (see NC61SE 2).
Surveyed at 1:10000. Visited by OS (J M) 12 May 1981.
