Full Description
NC60SW 14 612 029.
A minor deserted township comprising a bi-partite longhouse, 12.5m by 4.5m by 0.5m high, and a smaller bi-partite structure, 8.5m by 4.0m by0.4m high, with a kailyard attached. To the S is a more ruinous footing 8.0m by 4.0m with a small curvilinear enclosure abutting. Surrounding are cultivation lines and clearance heaps. All lie within a discontinuous head dyke.
Visited by OS 6 October 1980.
A township comprising 2 unroofed buildings, 3 enclosures and ring-dyke is depicted on 1st edition OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1879, sheet ciii). Two unroofed buildings and two enclosures are shown on current edition of OS 1:10,000 map (1971).
