Full Description

NC60SE 24 6965 0020 and 6941 0035.

At NC 6965 0020 and NC 6941 0035, in a south-facing hillside, are two hut circles (A and B respectively) accompanied by a minor field system. 'A', on a natural shelf, measures about 8.5m diameter inside a wall reduced to a heather-obscured rubble spread. The entrance is no longer discernible.
'B', heather-covered, is rather indistinct due to the general amorphous state of its collapsed walling, and the intrusion of a later structure in the interior, but is apparently a 'key-hole' type. The circular main part measures approximately 8.0m across internally opening into an annexe, 5.5m by 5.5m in the northerly arc. The entrance is not now evident. A section of the hut wall indicates a structural width of 2.5m. The minor field system comprises a number of stone clearance heaps, most numerous south-west of hut A. There are no measurable plots.
Surveyed at 1:10 000.
Visited by OS (J M) 3 December 1980.
