At NC 6861 0326, in damp ground beside a stream, is an amorphous turf-covered burnt mound. It measures some 9m by 7m and 0.6m high, and appears to be centrally depressed; stone from the mound is easily shattered and reveals reddening akin to heat staining. The mound lies at the edge of a field system associated with hut circles (See NC60SE 6).
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 26 September 1980.
