NC63NW 30 6402 3583

At 6402 3583, just above east bank of a loch, is a heather-covered burnt mound. It is 10.5m NW-SE by 7.5m by 0.7m high with a crescentic depression opening out onto the loch; some animal scrapes expose a content of blackened earth and heat fragmented stone. Round about are two or three heathery mounds of field clearance type.
Surveyed at 1:10560. Visited by OS (J M) 17 March 1977.
