Situated at NC 6085 3717 on a SW facing hillslope, and on the fringe of the depopulated township of Grummore, are the obscure remains of a hut circle. It is defined by a turf and bracken-covered platform set onto the slope, and measures about 9.5m SE-NW by 9.0m within the mutilated remains of a wall only clearly traceable in the NW. The position of the entrance is not apparent. Two or three turf-covered stony mounds in the vicinity may represent contemporary field clearance.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (J B) 21 March 1977.
