Full Description
NC65NW 9 6395 5965.
At NC 63958 5965, situated below a hut circle (NC65NW 10) and on the edge of an area of field clearance, is a burnt mound. It is heather covered and distincty 'U' shaped measuring 8.5m across and 1.0m high. The open side is in south, facing a burn. Erosion reveals a content of friable stones.
