(A : NC 6599 3865) Hut Circle (NR) (B : NC 6594 3849) Enclosure (NR) OS 6"map, (1963)
Both of these features (A and B) discovered during field investigation (OS {J L D}) are hut circles, occupying open spaces in an otherwise deep-ploughed and re-afforested area of south facing hillside. The huts are heavily blanketed by heather but appear of a similar type.
'A', slightly set into the slope, is about 8 by 6m inside an obscure wall; the entrance, in SE quarter, is on the line of the longer axis.
'B', on a rise, is 9.5m diameter within a wall standing 0.7m high and spread to 2.-2.5m broad; entrance, ill-defined, is from SE quarter.
Revised at 1/10,000. Visited by OS (J L D) 14 May 1961.
