Full Description

At NC 6655 356, on rising ground of southerly aspect, is a hut circle, ill-preserved and peat-covered, in association with a field system. The hut is 5.5 by 5.0m internally and has an entrance from the SE on the line of the longer axis; the wall, an estimated 1.0m width, is reduced to 0.2m high. The field system,about 2.5 hectares area, comprises stone clearance mounds spaced on average 15.0 to 20.0 apart, linear stone clearance and one or two low stony lynchets; a cultivation plot, 35.0 by 15.0m, is noted and others, smaller and less well-delineated, are evident.
