NC64SE 48 6655 4368
Situated below a hut circle ('D' of NC64SE 47) is an oval burnt mound set on a steep slope above a burn. It measures 7.5m N-S by 6m and stands 0.4m high on the upper side. Unusually, there is no central depression or concavity in the mount. Burnt stone and charcoal are evident where the mound has been eroded.
Surveyed at 1:10,000 Visited by OS (J B) 11 August 1978.
